Minnesota State Fair Foundation chooses Pernsteiner Creative Group to design their branded materials

4.15.10 - St. Louis Park, MN
The Minnesota State Fair Foundation has again chosen to work with Pernsteiner Creative Group on the development of collateral materials and their new website. The organization wants to take their organization website and printed materials, including their Annual Report, brochures, and maps to a more professional level.

4.22.06 - Bloomington, MN The Minnesota State Fair Foundation will be working with Pernsteiner Creative Group to develop their corporate logo and stationary system. A relatively new organization, the Foundation is in place to help raise funding for the Minnesota State Fairgrounds' landscaping and building upkeep, renovations and special programs.

The design projects are expected to be completed by May 2005 and are the launching point for a new "Friends of the Fair" giving club program.

Two projects from Pernsteiner Creative Group chosen for Creativity 34

10.22.04 - Bloomington, MN Two marketing pieces developed by Pernsteiner Creative Group, Inc., a Bloomington marketing communications and design agency, have been selected as examples of outstanding graphic design and will be featured in the Creativity 34 annual, a hardcover book showcasing the finest advertising and graphic design worldwide.

This venerable publication, edited by David E. Carter, selected the two Pernsteiner projects from thousands of entries submitted from agencies around the world. The full-color, large-format volume is distributed internationally

One of the Pernsteiner pieces selected for Creativity 34 was a playful “Birth Announcement” for client Carlson Print Group, a Twin Cities based full-service printing company. The piece, announcing the arrival of a new Heidelberg press, will be recognized in the direct mail category. The eye-catching fold-over card included special production techniques including: embossing, metallic inks, die-cutting and a three-dimensional pop-up. View the new press announcement.

The second project selected was an internal Pernsteiner Creative Group marketing tool called “Brain Bricks.” This piece will be featured as an outstanding example in the book's self-promotion category. Originally designed for the agency to use at a tradeshow targeting architects and manufacturers, the three-dimensional piece featured a retro style, one-color flex-o printed box containing “Brain Bricks” (a.k.a. Legos®). A printed guide used Brain Brick constructions to demonstrate how Pernsteiner Creative builds powerful branding messages and effective marketing.

“To be selected for this publication is a distinct honor, and to have two projects selected from the thousands submitted is a great feat,” said Todd Pernsteiner, Pernsteiner Creative Group's principal and creative director. “Knowing that our work will be seen by designers and potential clients throughout the world is pretty humbling.”

Don Gossen, Carlson Print Group's sales manager, gave Pernsteiner's work high praise. “Pernsteiner Creative Group partnered with us to develop a clever, memorable piece that fit our company's personality. Our new press has been busy since its installation. I have to believe this is largely in part to the great piece that announced its arrival,” he said

“We love working with clients on unique approaches, especially when they trust us enough to take a chance. Carlson is great to work with and is willing to let us develop the kinds of direct mail pieces you don't see every day,” said Pernsteiner.

Creativity 34 will be released in the summer of 2005. For more information, go to www.creativity34.com/index.cfm.

New book recognizes unique invitation

9.8.04 - Bloomington, MN An imaginative open house invitation won Bloomington graphic design firm Pernsteiner Creative Group a spot in the just-released, perfect bound source book “1000 Greetings: Creative Correspondence for all Occasions.”

Issued earlier this month by Rockport Publishers and edited by Peter King Design, “1000 Greetings” showcases outstanding, unique designs for invitations, announcements, greetings, and self-promotional pieces. Pernsteiner Creative's entry was selected from submissions from across the globe to be featured in this publication aimed at professional graphic designers.

Pernsteiner's featured invitation promotes the open house of a new manufacturing facility for County Materials Corporation (formerly County Concrete), based in Marathon, WI. The invite features a small, die-cut file folder with clever inserts for recipients to thumb through, as well as a response card, complete with a company pen to encourage quick reply.

“We wanted the piece to intrigue and involve the recipients,” said Todd Pernsteiner, principal and creative director. “Our goal in every project is to not only make it visually stunning, but to get the desired results for our clients. We feel that this particular project really nailed it.”

County Materials Marketing Director Rebecca Sonnentag thoroughly agrees. “We couldn't be more pleased. We had an exceptional response rate from the open house invitation and follow-up card,” she said. “The design was very clever and still complemented our other marketing efforts.

“1000 Greetings” presents an inspiring collection of announcements and greeting cards by top design and art studios worldwide, many with unique materials and treatments. It is the newest publication of Rockport Publishers, which creates dynamic illustrated source books for professional designers and artisans. “1000 Greetings” (ISBN 1-59253-021-4) is available at major book stores and online book sites. Pernsteiner wins at MSAE Expo

6.7.04 - Bloomington, MN The theme “Tie Into Something Brilliant” won Bloomington graphic design firm, Pernsteiner Creative Group, the “Most Valuable Booth” award at the 2004 Midwest Society of Association Executives (MSAE) Expo in Minneapolis last month. Pernsteiner Creative's booth included a screaming yellow backdrop, wildly-patterned, custom paper ties and a “Stand-Out” fashion show on a wide screen TV.

“We're extremely honored by the award and pleased by the response we got from Expo attendees,” said Principal Todd Pernsteiner. “Our intent was to showcase our creative capabilities and company personality”

“We had lots of fun inviting people to put on our paper ties,” he said, “and everyone seemed to enjoy wearing them, too. The bottom line, though, is that we were able to meet a lot of people and generate leads for future business. In every sense, the booth was a great success.”

This is the fifth annual “Most Valuable Booth” award given at the MSAE Expo. The award was chosen from 100+ entries. The Bloomington Visitor & Convention Bureau won it in 2003.

Pernsteiner Creative Group sent out a pre-mailer to drive traffic to the booth, which housed a drawing entry form for recipients to bring to the booth and introduced the “Tie” theme. The company also created special notepads with a pre-printed, “handwritten” invitation to visit the booth. The notepads were included in custom satchels given out by MSAE to all attendees when they registered. View the award-winning booth and marketing materials
